Asbestos Awareness

Asbestos related diseases account for around 5000 deaths each year, the single biggest cause of work related deaths in Great Britain. Although the use of Asbestos is prohibited in new buildings, it is still present in buildings built or refurbished before the year 2000.

This course will introduce Asbestos and it's dangers it will educate you about what Asbestos is, where it can be found, how it can harm people and what work tradespeople are allowed to carry out legally.

How long will it take me to achieve this qualification?

The course will consist of a 4 hour classroom session. 

This can be completed as a single day course or as part of the CSCS Qualification package.  

How is the qualification assessed?

This qualification is assessed by completion of an end of course examination certified by RoSPA. 

Learners will receive immediate certification from RoSPA once examination is successfully completed. 

What are the entry requirements?

Learners must have a basic understanding of literacy to complete this course.
